Bio Security
At Kasturi, we believe that cleanliness and hygiene are the cornerstones of quality. Every step in our journey, every department, reflects this uncompromising commitment.
Brooding Unit
Brooding is the process of caring for baby chicks immediately after hatching where they receive special care, including artificial heat, food, water, and proper temperature and ventilation, to ensure their survival and healthy development.
Growing Unit
Grower House is used to grow egg-type birds from 9 to 18 weeks of age. Proper care and highest hygiene standards are followed for the optimal growth of the chicks. Inhouse feed is provided to nurture the chicks.
Laying Unit
The primary goal of a laying unit is to provide a comfortable and conducive environment for hens to lay eggs commercially. Laying hens are often housed in sheds or cages designed to maximize space efficiency and facilitate egg collection.
Fumigation Process
Egg fumigation involves exposing hatching eggs to a disinfectant gas to kill microorganisms and improve hatchability. This process is done in a sealed environment with proper ventilation and adherence to safety guidelines. Then the eggs are taken to cold storage.
